So much to do in so little time!

In all my Pokemon games I own, when i am playing I make all my characters know each other and such. Hoenn, I picked May for my character because I love torchic and I can't stand her having mudkip when I am the boy trainer. The funny thing was, I was choosing my starter and then I forgot to save it before choosing at the bag for saving Professor Birch on Sapphire. I noticed it was a male so i turned off my game and forgot to save it again before i choose my starter. I then remembered to save it and I got a female starter that time.
