Recently... Hiro is a young pokemon trainer who had just received his Pokemon Trainer's License allowing him to own Pokemon and battle them in Pokemon battles. After a disappointment, it seemed as if Hiro was not going to be able to get a starter pokemon. However his father had caught a difficult Charmander previously and now gives it to Hiro to be friends with. After some difficulty, Hiro and the Charmander named Champ agree to work together towards Hiro's dream of becoming the strongest Pokemon Trainer ever... and now we continue as Hiro takes Charmander down to the river to train..

Hiro stood at the river banks looking at the water and the various water pokemon all around. Champ stood beside him as both of them tried to measure up the Pokemon. Holding up his Pokedex it said, "Totodile, a water pokemon who once it bites something rarely lets it go. Lv.7." Hiro said, "That one looks cool let's sneak closer." Sneaking down to the ground, a small red and white pokeball looking thing rolled out infront of Hiro and Champ. "Cool a poke..." The thing turned around and said, "Voltorb!" Champ stood back and Hiro said, "Let's get ready to fight. Champ use Ember."

Champ opened his mouth and multiple little streams of flame came out of his mouth at Voltorb.

The little flames seemed to spread towaard the Voltorband hit it square. Although this made it angry as it used rollou which had learned it at an early level. It rolled toward the reptilian creature getting ready to squash him like a bug it was pressing and was just about to hit....

Hiro yelled for Champ to dodge but it was too late. Hiro plotted his next move as Champ flew into the air. This gave Champ a bit of an advantage Hiro thought, "Use your ember on the ground around it! If the ground's on fire this Voltorb won't be able to move for its rollout attack! Champ was in the air and opened its small mouth then shot little streams of flame as it fell to the ground. Then Champ stood up fiercely looking at the Voltorb. Hiro had an idea, an reached behind his back to his pokebelt for a pokeball. We just need to make it weaker, a couple more attacks aught to do it. Hiro had hoped that Champ could stand that long in the battle because if not he'd miss his chance to catch a powerful pokemon.

OOC: Hmm.. I don't remember Charmanders being able to fly?

IC:
:: Embers of fire crossed the land as he was up in the air... the voltorb was confused cause it was weird and thought that charmanders where fire salamanders not dragons? So he stod there waiting for the next move.

OOC: He was thrown up in the air by Voltorb's Rollout attack and attempting to dodge it. >_> My mistake for not putting it in there. He can't fly yet till he evolves into Charizard

IC:

"Now, Scratch attack!" Hiro said, hoping it'd force Voltorb to attempt to move through the fire and either burn him or get scratched by Champ. Champ being a fire pokemon was immune to its own flames and ran through the flames and used right hand to Scratch at Voltorb. Yelling "Charrrr!" as he moved forward.

:: The ring of fire incased the two battlers one immune one not immune. The voltorb was very confused on what to do next sudenly it came up with a solution for it would make the little pokemon scarce of it. It used Spark which ws an electric move a electric volt came rushing towards Champ going to elecricute the reptile who has an obsession for fire.

As Champ rushed Voltorb, an electrical jolt of yellow energy came at Champ and stopped him dead in his tracks as he was about a foot away from Voltorb. "Oh no." Hiro said recognizing his Charmander had just become Paralyzed. "Champ, even though you can't move try another Ember attack since you are so close!" Champ was unable to move since he was paralyzed though leaving him open to attack.

::Champ tried his best to attack he felt the flames go up to him, but the only thing that came out was a puff of smoke. He was immobilized for the moment the only thing that seemed to be able to save him right now would be either getting out of it or Hiro giving him a Parlyz Heal. Which who knows if he has any on him.
The Voltorb which resembled so much like a pokeball came forward with a rollout like a train rolling away on tracks and Champ was the deer in his headlights. He approaches the threshold just about to hit...::
