As Devon walked around the Forest with his Turtwig, he saw a a big river. He takes out his old, beat-up rod, knowing that he will only get a Magikarp. Hmmmmm, he thought, Maybe today I will get a different Pokemon instead.

When your rod hit the water's surace, it sunk slowly. Somthing grabbed it and pulled, trying to escape with the pokemon food on your rod's hook.

Devon pulled harder and asked his Turtwig for help. The rod slipped out of Devon's hands. Turtwig almost fell into the water with the rod, but Devon quickly grabbed the rod and sent Turtwig into its Pokeball. He continued pulling the rod with all his strength and the mystery wild Pokemon gave up pulling and decided to battle.

(you cant say what the wild pokemon does.)

as you pulled, a magikarpp flew out of the water and landed next to your feet. "Magik!" It gasped. It flopped around, trying to look strong.

"HA HA HA! I'll use my Houndour for this one." Devon sends out Houndour. "Houndour, use bite!" (Sorry!)

The magikarp looked at it with fear, using a weak tackle attack, it threw itself at it. But mabey that wasnt a good idea, because houndour bit into him like he was a fish sandwich. It screamed, wiggled free, and used a splash attack.

(What does splash do in this game? In PMD it causes the opponent and itself to lose 5 hp. In the main series it does nothing.)

Devon said, "Houndour use Tackle! Not too hard though!"

Tackle hit, causing the magicarp fair damage. it was gettng weak, and it slowed down.

Devon throws a Pokeball.

Magikarp was sucked in and...shake....shake...shake....DING!
